Hi,
This page is dedicated towards former preemies (people who were born prematurely) and parents of current or former preemies. If you experience premature delivery it can be pretty scary, for the chance of survival is smaller than with a full-term child and the risk of getting a disabled child is bigger. My parents sometimes can still be angry with the doctors because I was born three months premature and got blind from ROP. On the other hand, they're very happy that I survived and sometimes it annoys me when my parents nag about their anxiety during the summer of '86 while it's 2003 and I've nothing more than blindness from my prematurity. I don't mean to offend parents of current or former preemies, cause I completely understand your fear, but I know what it is like to be a former preemie myself. In this section, I'll place articles, links and other information for former preemies and their parents. I hope you find them helpful.
